The City of Buda is located on Interstate Highway 35 – seventeen miles south of downtown Austin in northeastern Hays County.
Located in North central Hays County, the Hays Consolidated Independent School District serves over 209 square miles. Parts of the district extend into southeastern Travis County and into western Caldwell County. The district currently has 22 campuses. The Hays Consolidated I.S.D. is an Academically Acceptable district by TEA.
Hays CISD is a rapidly growing district. Sixty-five percent of Hays High School students take SAT or ACT exams, and 60 percent of the school’s graduates are accepted to college.
